1915-1916 San Diego Panama-California Exposition Medals
The 1915 San Diego Panama-California Exposition was a great exposition. The only award medal we have been able to identify is this one from from the Smithsonsian 1916 Panama California International Exposition
Bronze 1916 Panama California International Exposition commemorative medal; Obverse: relief of Panama Canal depicted and two explorer figures, embossed text “SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA, PANAMA CALIFORNIA INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION 1916”;
Reverse: relief of a bear and palm leaf branches depicted, embossed and engraved text “BRONZE MEDAL AWARDED TO MRS. LUA A. CURTIS FOR MINIATURE PAINTINGS”.
